I suppose Hello Kitty could be sort of like Mickey Mouse -- one of those cartoons that work for all ages. :) But there was just something about it that seemed a little too cutesy to me. I mean, don't get me wrong -- I don't like the "granny" look, either. And everything ELSE she was wearing would've looked great on a 20 year old, and she made it look great at 50-something. Gerturde Astrid, Bjork, the gal in Belle & Sebastian. Paula Abdul. And tons others. I don't have a robust singing voice either. "Get up to the mike," is great advice.
