I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."
Till, ringing singing, on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men
Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas to you Lisa!!
i would like to ask you something, may i have ur email address?as its not related to the post,so i thought i shouldn't mention it here
(btw its related to your cat :)
Interesting - he sings "mild and sweet". I've always heard "wild and sweet". Two very different meanings. I wonder how it was originally written.
Joey, I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas! :)
Hi Fatima -- feel free to ask anything you want here. I'd be happy to talk about my cat! :)
Aunt Carol -- I noticed that too! I'm pretty sure "wild" is the original word, so I'm not sure why he changed it. Maybe it was a mistake... :)
i have exactly the same cat!!but not sure of its breed as i took him in from a shelter,is it chartreux?korat?
Mine was a stray, too, so I'm not totally sure -- but I THINK he might be at least part blue burmese (although korat looks really close, too!). But he definitely has a lot of burmese characteristics -- he meows a lot (he likes to "talk" to people :)), he's affectionate, he plays fetch, and he generally likes being around people. He even greets us at the door every time we come home! He also likes to stick his head under running faucets to drink water, but I don't know if that's something most burmese cats do... he might just be weird... :)
That is great Lisa, the way you've trained your cat is quiet appreciable :)
Well my cat is kinda silent (less talking and much listening type lol) and serious one, yet he is very welcoming, he roams around the house and mingles very easily with the strangers.
Hes not very fond of shower and stuff lol, neither loves to play with toys, often sleeps with me and purrs 'alot' when comfortable.
Overall i have been enjoying every bit in my life, having it, since it was the cutest kitten :D
Let us conclude it in a way that we can not comment clearly on the breed :p
However its so nice to have met a caring and proud owner of same breed.
Take care!
Aww -- your cat sounds very sweet! I think getting one from a shelter is the best thing to do, since there are so many strays without homes. But unfortunately that means we'll probably never be sure of their breeds! :) But as long as they're good companions, that's all that matters... :)
It was nice to meet you, too! I hope you'll stop by again -- I do tend to post a lot of cat pictures on my blog! :)
